The Essence Warehouse extension of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central makes warehouse operations easier.

Main features:
Full support for an external cross-platform mobile application using so-called radio frequency terminals (HHT), which combine a handheld computer with a powerful (usually laser scanner) barcode or QR code reader. In the simplest case, an ordinary Android phone or tablet with a camera can also be used.
Supports Handling Units, which can be pallets, boxes or any other form of carrier for goods in the warehouse. Handling Units can be used from the receipt of goods and subsequent stacking throughout the warehousing process, or only in the dispatch for picking and shipping to customers. We always know what the Handling Unit contains with the possibility of printing the contents. The delivered Handling Unit can be printed on delivery notes or linked to the agendas of external carriers. Handling Unit can also represent SSCC or other standardized pallet markings.
Receipt of goods into the warehouse can be simplified by supporting HHT terminal and goods can be directly loaded into the position prior to posting the receipt. It is also possible to receive more than the ordered quantity and to settle the differences afterwards. Receiving is managed as a Workflow with a sequence of steps including notification of buyers.
Dispatch from the warehouse is significantly more efficient due to HHT terminal support. Multiple warehouse staff can work simultaneously on picking a single warehouse document and have an online overview of the status of the work. In case of larger or longer orders, it is possible to prepare the output Handling Unit in advance and just pick and post them on the day of dispatch. The workers have an overview of what is to be picked, the status of the picking and where to find the goods to be picked directly on the HHT terminals. Goods variants, batch and serial numbers are supported where required. Goods can be stocked by the whole Handling Unit, by picking by compartments or by a combination of these.
We support and extend new warehouse physical inventories. In the physical inventory process, goods are checked by Handling Unit in addition to compartments. Physical Inventory is also supported on HHT terminals, where workers are assigned a specific part of the warehouse and record the inventoried goods.
The HHT terminal can also be used for production withdrawals, or for loading onto Handling Unit and stacking in the warehouse. This functionality is useful for manufacturing companies that continuously load their finished products into the distribution warehouse.
Some compartments can be marked as Unavailable for sale. These are subtracted from the available inventory to vendors. The warehouse uses them for e. g. damaged goods, blocked stock, etc.
